Cajun:
Cajun cooking is native to the state of Louisiana and is also known for its flavor packed dishes. If you are ever fortunate enough to visit Louisiana in the flesh it’s a great idea to try an authentic gumbo stew which is sometimes served in a novel, bread bowl. Another dish that is well worth ticking off your bucket list is jambalaya, which also happens to be a popular staple in Louisiana. Lastly, if you are a seafood lover, you can’t visit Louisiana without indulging in freshly broiled crawfish.
Polish:
While Poland may not be as well known for its cuisine as France, Italy or Spain it offers a wide variety of underrated dishes. One must try dish is pierogi, which is a type of savory dumpling. One of the tastiest types of pierogi which you can buy features mustard seeds. Other Polish dishes to try include Zurek which is a fermented soup which boasts sour rye flour and bigos which is a hearty stew which is packed full of tender meat.
Argentinian:
Argentina features some of the best dishes in South America. For example if you like the idea of eating hot pastries that are filled with cheese, vegetables and meat and are perfectly bite sized, it’s well worth ordering empanadas for the first time. Alternatively if you love barbecued meats, it’s well worth visiting a restaurant that serves up asado, which is traditional Argentinian barbecue. If you need a drink to wash down your asado and empanadas with, it’s a great idea to opt for mate, which is a traditional form of tea that is commonplace in Argentina.
French:
While you may not be too keen to order escargot or frog legs, it’s well worth trying out France’s world class pastries, deserts and cheeses. If you visit France it’s a fun idea to grab ingredients such as bread and cheese from local stores and to enjoy a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower.
